Thanks to everyone that came out on Wednesday night We were able to get a lot done and hand this months show.
We started the voting for our new steering committee, but if you weren’t available, you can submit an absentee ballot until Wednesday, April 20th at 9pm.
To vote, you must be a current member and up to date on dues. Please respond to this or email with your name and your top 5 (or less) picks for steering committee. There were two people at the meeting that forgot to put their name on their ballot, and their vote wasn’t counted. Also, only 1 ballot per membership (if two people are under one membership, they only get one ballot between them).

Hi Everyone, thanks for being patient with this whole process to get an elected steering committee formed. The voting closed last night at 9pm with 29 members voting (one of which submitted electronically). We had 3 ballots with no names (one of them was accidentally counted last week that I have since removed from the results). We also had a 2 members vote that are currently not technically members (but have been acting as – and had some form of verbal agreements from before) vote. Linda (membership) and I decided to include those ballots but in recognition that we need to be more clear about who are members in the future (no more verbal agreements).
There was a tie for the 5th seat. My suggestion is that the 6 people with the most votes meet and decide on which of the two takes the final seat. Other’s have suggested a coop wide head-to-head vote, which I think is better for representation, but might be tough to make everyone vote again.

The next step will be for the 4 certain members of the steering committee to decide on the 5th seat, and to set a regularly monthly meeting that will be posted on the website.
